Jerry M. Ashford
With decades of experience building and running businesses across Asia for some of the most innovating companies on the planet, including Motorola, Sun, Intel and Microsoft, Jerry leveraged his passion and experience to start Impact Asia in 2016.
Jerry began his career with Motorola in the late 80’s after graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His Asia career commenced in the late 90’s when he was tasked with establishing Sun’s Software OEM and Java Licensing business in Asia. Jerry subsequently moved to Beijing in 2006 to run Sun’s Asia & Emerging Markets software sales organization. He was married in Beijing where his three children were born. He currently leads Impact Asia out of San Francisco, California.
Some of Jerry’s Asia experiences and skills include sales and business leadership, business development, channel ecosystem evaluation and optimization, mega-deal creation / negotiation and compensation architecture. He has deep experience in both OEM and Enterprise software and technology spanning most industries.
